Apocalypse Now
Francis Coppola

I can rightfully say this movie derserves great credit. This is an amazing movie throughout, and while it has it's low points they are not that low and are contrasted with excellent setpieces, character moments, and messages. The story itself I think is the weakest link of this movie, but that's not a huge issue considering that the point of the movie is not about telling a compelling story. The characters are the things that carry this movie during it's runtime, but the strong message makes this movie as good as it is. The acting is really good from all characters, and the character writing does a lot to help them out. While I do think that many parts of this movie could have been streamlined or cut, that's probably due to the fact I watched the director's cut. The visuals are incredible, and while the action isn't as good as it could be that doesn't really matter.
