Avatar The Way of Water

As someone who enjoyed Avatar, I was a little dissapointed with Avatar 2. My expectations weren't extremely high, but I was still a little let down. The visuals and soundtrack have stayed just as good all these years later, however pretty much everything else took a nosedive. The strong writing and pacing of the first movie dissapears here, with a pretty mediocre story in my opinion. The majority of the new characters introduced are either annoying as shit or just not fun to watch. The action is okay, but definitely not as good as the first one. I don't know, this movie just lacked so many things that made the first one so good, such as the sense of adventure, the strong character emotions, the satisfying climax, and many others I will not bother listing. On the surface, this is a perfect sequel to Avatar. However, when actually watching it, I wasn't super engaged or emotionally connected with any of the characters except for Sully. I will probably watch this movie again at some point in my life, but I am not excited for that day.
