Beetlejuice
Tim Burton
Directed by:
1988

Didn't really get the cult-classic appeal of this film. It's a good, slightly lighthearted comedy that is mostly entertaining, but just doesn't really have anything incredibly interesting. The best parts to me were the costuming and random comedic moments surrounding the non-Beetlejuice characters. The depiction of death/hell was interesting and added to the overall vibe of the film, which was also very well put together. I also didn't expect it to turn into a family film at the end, but I shouldn't have been so surprised. Excited to see the sequel.
