Blade Runner

Blade Runner has some of the best moral explorations of any movie I have ever seen, but damn if it doesn't take a long time to get to them.  This movie is around 2 hours, which is pretty standard, but besides strong character arcs, this movie has little to offer.  The visuals are good but not great, the soundtrack is not nearly as good as it could have been, and the acting is a step above par.  The highlight by a long shot is the final scene in the rain with Roy, which is an incredible moment.  I think Rachael's character arc is not as explored as it should have been, and that Roy should have had a longer speech at the end. But the character moments here are above strong, and the indoor visuals and atmosphere are good enough to support the strong acting performance by Rutger.  I would recommend this movie to people who enjoy character pieces or movies with themes of morality and humanity.
