This is probably far and away the best James Bond movie ever made, and for a variety of good reasons. However, there seems to always be a little something wrong with all of these reasons as well. The action is good, but maybe a little too jump-cuttey for my liking. The story and characters are well written, at least for the beginning two thirds of the film. The acting is good but not amazing. The thing that I think really sets this Bond apart from the others, and truthfully what makes the Craig films so good, is the modern character writing and storytelling. You would never have seen an old Bond crying or getting seriously hurt, because the writers weren't willing or capable of having their badass action hero be dragged down a peg. But in this film it works so well because it makes Bond seem human, touchable, breakable. Anyways, the film is very entertaining for the first two thirds, and there are so many iconic moments and scenes that you just have to see for yourself. However I really think the back end of the movie drags on a little bit. Which is ironic, because the end has some of the better writing and character building of the whole film. I just think that the film loses a little bit of its flare and excitment, which drags the rest of the above-average product down to just average. Still, this is a must-watch, iconic action movie that pretty much defined what it means to be a good, modern secret-agent action film.
