Cléo from 5 to 7

This is an extremely interesting film from a story perspective. It really is a tale from 5 to 7, roughly two hours (slightly sped up at parts) of a young woman's day. The themes, visual direction, and general tone of the movie are excellent. I loved the movie for the smaller moments, like the excellent musical number in the middle, or the great visual quirks throughout. It reminds me a lot of other European films, and it seems to love to focus more on the streets and people of Paris than the actual story. Its interesting, seeing the camera focus in on faces we don't know, but it also makes the people around the characters feel real and alive, perhaps better than any other movie I've seen. Not exactly thrilling, but it doesn't have to be. It's a rather simple yet intriguing piece of a person's life.
