I have seen this movie three times in my life. The first two viewings gave me nightmares, so I vowed to stay away from it for the rest of my life. However, Coraline is a good film (and honestly not as scary as I remember). While I was completely shocked when I learned that Tim Burton had nothing to do with this movie, this is just as good as many of his best films (thanks in large part to Selick). The animation is top tier, and the voice acting pairs very well with it. The world-building in general is great, and it feels very real for a stop-motion movie. The characters are also pretty good, theres really no weaknesses there. I also still have one of the songs stuck in my head. While the story's pacing can be a little off during the second/third act, its still a very enjoyable experience through and through.
