Dunkirk
Christopher Nolan
Directed by:
2017

When I first saw Dunkirk, I was amazed. This is one of the most unique war stories ever told in my opinion. The nameless protagonists and the faceless antagonists make the conflict feel like a real disorganized war, with everyone simply trying to get home. The constant feeling of unease created by the expert camerawork and soundtrack complement this well. There are some things wrong with the movie, like a slightly confusing story and mediocre acting. The movie becomes very boring after a while, especially after watching it a few times. But besides that, this is a great war film and a great Nolan film.
