Ford v Ferrari
James Mangold
Directed by:
2019

For being a 'based on a true story' story, this is pretty much as good as it gets. The story is close to perfect (maybe a little anti-climactic) and the characters are quite interesting, which is usually the downfall of these movies. The acting is also quite good, with Christian Bale giving us another classic performance. My main gripe with the movie is how it handled the racing scenes. It relies so heavily on CGI for these scenes that it kinda takes you out of the action. Not that the CGI isn't good, it's just that the crazy camera moves and impossible angles remind you that half of the races are made in post. Still a really good movie, and I definitely recommend it for anybody who likes cars.
