Full Metal Jacket
Stanley Kubrick
Directed by:
1987

This movie is the best artistic examination of how soldiers are created and war's effect on men. For that reason alone, I am tempted to give this movie the highest score possible, but I cannot. This movie is simply a little bit too bland in other aspects, such as the lack of incredible visuals or a stronger story. On second viewing, it can be a bit boring. However, this movie is still amazing, and I highly recommend it for war film fanatics or people who love a good political commentary.
