Godzilla Minus One

It's hard to believe that a movie with a budget like this one could produce such a visually stunning film. It really goes to show that a clear vision and dedicated visual effects staff can really make a lot out of nothing. This film is pretty good in most respects, it comes close to being a B movie because of its sometimes poor acting and overly dramatic dialouge, but the visuals and solid action scenes make up for this. I enjoyed the portrayal of the main characters, especially in their relation to the war. The film emphasizes the people more than the military or government, which I thought made the film more personable and enjoyable. There are dramatic moments in the film, and it's certainly sad and emotional at times, but it's not enough to make the non-Godzilla parts of the film great. Still, I really enjoyed the film from beginning to end, and its being added to my repertoire of films that can successfully turn my brain off for a few hours.
