This is the best Sean Connery Bond movie that I have seen so far. What really sets this one apart from the rest is its actually darn good story. I enjoyed the exciting twists and surprises that continued to appear even until the end of the tale. The above average action also was enjoyable, althought the car chase scenes definitely needed some work. I was also pleasantly surprised at the higher quality writing that went into the female characters here. They actually have their own motivations and feel more fleshed-out, even though some of them still were just side pieces to Bond's story. The one massive gripe I have with the film is Bond's place in the story. It actually feels like he doesn't impact the outcome of the story all too much. And the one thing that actually does save the day was spurred on by what can only be called borderline sexual assault by Bond. Honestly, it's very weird to watch, especially because it actually has extreme plot significance. But besides that creepy scene, this is a pretty good film with plenty of iconic moments, Bond tropes, action setpieces, and memorable villains.
