Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade

The quality of this film was a welcome surprise after the second installment in this series. I knew that Last Crusade would be better going in of course, but I was still surprised at just how good it turned out to be. This film is so similar in quality, visuals, action, and even plot to the original film that it's a big surprise that it doesn't feel like a repeat. There are a lot of new elements that keep the experience fresh while still maintaing the wonderful atmosphere of the first film. Indy's father, one of the major additions to the narrative and world, was honestly not that great in the film. Sean Connery is great of course, but the best part of the film is still Indy and the grand action sequences throughout. In some parts this film looks and feels even better than the original, and many scenes are similarly iconic. While still not quite as good as the first in my opinion, this is still a wonderful sequel.
