All Hong Kong kung fu films are great, and Ip Man is better than most.  From the opening fight to the end, the action demands your full attention and never relinquishes it.  While the choreography, cinematography, and stunt performers make Ip Man great, legendary action director Sammo Hung is the true star of the show.  The story is quite good too and heightens the intensity greatly in certain fights. When the movie is off of the action, it can sometimes be a bit plain, but this is undoubtedly a great martial arts film.
