This was once my favorite M:I movie, but I have since come to a different conclusion. This is still a much better product than the original trilogy in my opinion, mostly thanks to the much improved action sequences. This film contains some of the best scenes of the entire franchise, so iconic and exciting that its hard to look away even for a moment. However these highs are contrasted with some pretty harsh lows, mostly due to the slow and awkward ending combined with some poor characters. I feel like the wife storyline wasn't talked about enough, especially since the audience has no real idea what has happened since the last film. I'm glad Hunt is getting a little more characterization though, and I think this trend continues to improve moving forward. While definitely a high note of the series when it first came out, this film has since been overshadowed by its superior successors.
