This is a wonderfully beautiful film that I cannot wait to watch again soon. The array of feelings and emotions that the director is able to implace upon the viewer is great, really drawing a contrast between the indoor and outdoor spaces that I don't think I've seen done this well before. The story is well done, containing a lot of dramatic and exciting moments while still managing to stay grounded and real. I really liked the characters, especially the ones that weren't the main sisters, as I think they try to say a lot about the world around them. There are some really iconic moments in this film, not surprisingly, but most of it is a slow ride through the childhood of the sisters. There are some really interesting themes here, which as far as I'm aware aren't connected to the nation of Turkey specifically, but I could be wrong. All in all a nice film that contains plenty of ups and downs but ends up being a great experience.
