Nacho Libre

I'm not a massive Jack Black enjoyer, but I've still heard good things about this movie and wanted to try it out. There is a reason why this movie is beloved my many; its a cute, visually appealing story with likeable characters and a satisfying ending. There's not much to complain about from this perspective. The whole movie is shot and written well, the character development of Nacho and others is good, and I enjoyed watching the story unfold. However, this movie certainly isn't spotless. Black's specific style of acting/comedy was subpar at best, with some of his comedic scenes/jokes (especially the singing) just coming off as super uncomfortable and hard to watch. His character isn't supposed to be dignified by any stretch, but I would have hoped that the scenes in which he embarrasses himself weren't so cringey as to be unenjoyable. Still, I really enjoyed a lot of this movie, and now the main song is stuck in my head after hearing it half a dozen times during the film.
