I spent a very long time deciding which score to give Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind.  From start to finish, this movie is a masterpiece, in visuals and storytelling.  The strong combat scenes and characters drive this movie along at a steady pace through an incredible world.  The story tackles important issues in the real world without impeding the tale's tone and pace.  The visual beauty of the landscapes and gliding scenes cannot be understated, especially for an 80's film.  There are some things that drag the movie down a tad.  The movie's pretty old, and it shows in bits and pieces.  The soundtrack is also a little underwhelming.  But besides a few minor bumps, this film is really great.  Thanks, Miyazaki.
