This was an incredible experience to witness in the theater. I have really been enjoying Eggers work recently and this was a fine addition to that pattern. From start to finish, Nosferatu presents itself as a visually stunning, masterfully acted piece of art that simultaneously captivates and terrifies. I was only lightly familiar with the story before watching, so the different twists and turns that the story goes down were exciting to witness. The characters are very well acted and written, making the tension of the scariest scenes all the more real for the audience. The feeling of dread and fear escalates throughout the film in a masterful way, although I think the highlight of the film was the first act. Any way you slice it, this is a wonderfully done film that will be enjoyed for many years.
