I can't believe people were angry that this movie won best picture in 2019, because this is a phenomenal movie. Even in one of the best years for cinema that I have ever seen, Parasite stands out. Bong Joon-Ho is a master of cinematography, and his handiwork is seen all throughout this film. The visual style is impeccable, and this movie also has the best hidden CGI of all time. The acting is great (even though it's in a language I don't understand) and the soundtrack also pairs well with the movie without being too noticeable. The movie thrives on the thrill of watching this family try to enact their plans, and it's incredibly entertaining throughout the second and third acts. The one crtique I have on this movie is the characters. The characters are supposed to represent ideas more than actual people, and the writing does a good job of supporting this, however the actual characters themselves therefore don't feel realized. Besides this minor hiccup, this is a masterpiece of a movie and one of the best thrillers you will ever watch.
