I am giving this movie a perfect score out of true love. This movie is absolutely beautiful from start to finish, and is possibly my favorite (2D) animated movie ever. While this is a biblical tale, and the story/characters don't stray too far from the formula, this is still an amazing retelling. The writing fits the style of the movie perfectly, and the characters (especially Moses and Rameses) have great arcs and feel real. The visuals are by far the best part of this movie, however. There are incredible vistas, colorful patterns of light, and just an array of breathtaking scenes to compliment everything else this movie does well. The soundtrack is also quite good, and while it's not nearly as catchy or iconic as some other animated soundtracks, this is a good thing. I love watching this movie, and I know I will watch it again in the future. It's sad how a movie like this might not ever be made today, but maybe that just makes Prince of Egypt that much more special.
