Red Headed Woman
Jack Conway
Directed by:
1932

On the opposite (yet similar) end of the spectrum to macho gangster films from the same period, Red-Headed Woman falls into a category that seeks to mirror this rampant masculinity with the female version of it. While the film is well made in many respects, it just wasn't that entertaining dramatically or otherwise. Once you realize what is happening midway through the film, there is not much thrill left in seeing what happens to the main characters. I do think the acting, especially from Red, is quite good and keeps the film interesting for a while at least.
