Spider Man Brand New Day

Pretty good! It's nice to know that this series is still doing well both commerically and critically. Quite impressive for movies that are now the longest-running Spider-man series in film, and a series that could have gone majorly wrong like the rest of the Marvel films as of late.
Obviously Marvel had nothing to do with this. If they got their way this would have been another sloppy piece of work like the last dozen projects they've managed to squeeze out. Luckily Sony still has at least the sembleance that they care about making their movies good. Holland has succesfully maintained the role (and the girl), which is not something any other actor of this beloved character can say.
Ok enough chit-chat. The film is good. Really solid visuals and action throughout make this film what it is. But it wouldn't really stand on it's own without the pretty solid theming and story. This is easily the best-written Spider-man film since the original live-action one. The characters are likeable yet real, and the emotional arcs that multiple characters go through in the film feels very earned. The ending is pretty solid in all of these respects as well. And to top it all off, it's a tiny bit funny.
Sink and Holland both did great jobs here. And I can be pretty confident that they're gonna make at least 2 more of these. The public certainly isn't sick of them, and I guess I'm not either.
