Terminator 2 Judgement Day

I don't think I've ever seen a sequel be this much better than its predecessor. Terminator 2 does everything that Terminator 1 does, better, and it does more. This movie is an absolute classic action film, with a rich sci-fi background to go along with it. Arnold and Linda Hamilton absolutely kill here in their own ways, and Sarah Connor is one of the coolest people I've ever seen on the big screen. The villain, while less visually intimidating than his predecesor in the previous movie, makes up for it with the lingering sense of impending doom that follows him wherever he goes. It seems he can never be stopped, which makes the action scenes all the more suspensful. I must reiterate how surprising it is that a sequel, which copies the formula from the previous movie way more than it should have, be as high quality as this. Obviously this is in part due to the much smarter writing, better visuals and direction, bigger and better stunts, and likeable and fleshed-out chracters. It literally is so good that people barely even remember the first movie when they talk about Terminator. This is the pinultimate creation in the Terminator series, and a damn good action flic.
