The Darjeeling Limited
Wes Anderson
Directed by:
2007

When looking at this work compared to the more recent Wes Anderson films, you can see how his style has been refined over the years. This film still has much of his trademarked style, however it's much more in the background and not as constant (or good) as his other movies. Still, the visual style is really good. The characters (especially the three main brothers) are really well written and interesting, and are probably the best part of the movie. The story is carried by these characters but it's still good on it's own. The comedy is another standout part of this movie, and while it rarely made me laugh out loud was still really good. I don't think this is near to Wes Anderson's best, but I still really enjoyed it.
