The Emperor's New Groove
Mark Dindal
Directed by:
2000

Old 2D animated Disney movies can be a classic piece of film that's honored for generations, or it could be an old forgettable experience. Emperor's New Groove lands somewhere in the middle. It doesn't even come close to reaching the heights of films like The Lion King, but is still a decent film. The characters and animation make this film feel like a Disney classic, but the lack of music and visual flare drags this movie's reputation down. The only thing saving this movie from mediocrity is the honestly stellar comedy throughout, mostly coming from the character Kronk. I would love to give this movie a 2, but the comedy is good enough to make this movie slightly memorable and remind me that this is, in fact, a Disney animated film.
