The Good the Bad and the Ugly

I absolutely love movies like this. Everything about it oozes corniness but also a weirdly enjoyable "macho" aesthetic. The characters are of course at the same time hilariously cheesy but also unforgettable, Clint Eastwood's especially. The story is well done, even if a little long. One thing that did throw me off in terms of the plot and themes was the constant relation between the plot and the Civil War. I understand the point, and those moments were good ones, however it seemed like every time the movie was ready to move on, the characters would find another way to somehow end up in a fort or POW prison or something. Anyway, the visuals are great, and the soundtrack is incredible. There are a lot of great moments and scenes in the film that are heightened so much by the score. And, of course, the ending and suspense built throughout the film is almost unmatched. This is a classic and a fun watch.
