The Green Knight
David Lowery
Directed by:
2021

The Green Knight is one of the most interesting and strange films I've seen in a while. It attempts to adapt an ancient morality tale to the big screen, and frankly does a great job. The character of Sir Gawain is relatable thousands of years after he was created, and the world in which he inhabits is colorful and interesting. The movie is certainly slow, and many plot points can be confusing at times, but the overarching story is very good. I especially love the ending sequences (you'll know what I'm talking about), it really ties the movie together. I love the visuals a lot for their unfamiliarity, even if the CGI could have been better. I hope this movie inspires more like it in the future.
