The thing I loved the most about this film were the characters. There are several very colorful, relatable and interesting people that keep this film engaging and entertaining. The one that exemplifies this the most is easily Sonny, who is an extremely likeable and yet perfectly flawed character, perfect for this kind of movie. And what kind of movie is this? A slow, maybe boring film specifically about how slow and boring life is. It is an exploration of the nature of living and also a coming-of-age film, blending the two ideas perfectly together. I felt simulatenously like the characters were just beginning to understand the world while also feeling too old for it already. The visual and audio direction is also quite nice, I loved how the wind in the town really makes itself known through these mediums. It's certainly not an exciting film, it doesn't have a "climax" or a heart-pounding ending, but its a solid piece of art that comments beautifully on what it means to live in the modern world.
