It's hard to come closer to the definition of a "classic" than The Matrix. This is just a wonderfully done film in all respects, and has stood the test of time, remaining entertaining and culturally relevant. Not everything in this film is perfect, such as the inconsistent CGI (the only thing that didn't age well). However there's so much to love here that I can't get wrapped up in the details. The thing that stuck out to me the most during my most recent viewing was just how awesome, and often campy, the action was. It was almost a perfect blend of jaw-dropping stunts and effects combined with corny dialouge and slow-mo, making for an incredibly entertaining watch. This combined with the slew of iconic moments makes The Matrix of one the best sci-fi action movies ever, not only redifining pop culture in its wake but also the filmmaking industry.
