The Raid Redemption
Gareth Evans
Directed by:
2011

The Raid: Redemption defines everything great about martial arts action. Every single fight scene contains half a dozen brutal takedowns, crazy moves, and great camerawork. The bloodshed and spectacle in this movie are great, but the best moments are when two fighters go head to head in an expertly choreographed fight. There are so many memorable moments that it's impossible to touch upon them all in a short amount of time. While the action is second-to-none, the rest of the movie falls a bit short. The characters are a bit bland and the acting is weak. However, The Raid is still a masterpiece in the world of martial arts films and is one of the greatest action movies I've ever seen.
