The Suicide Squad
James Gunn

There are very few DCEU movies that are good. This is one of those few. I'm very glad that the executives decided to bring on James Gunn, because the style that he imploys for his movies fit perfectly for The Suicide Squad. The wacky characters, story, visuals, and overall tone deliver a weirdly entertaining experience. The movie does have many flaws however, such as a decommitment from the strong visual style it could have employed, weak character arcs and whatnot, and a overall lack of comedy. This movie will make you laugh for sure, and I found myself laughing quite a few times, but after the beginning the comedy dropped off a cliff for the most part. I'm glad I watched this movie, and I probably will watch it again in the future, but this is a severly flawed film in many ways, and doesn't live up to its true potential.
