V for Vendetta

This film really just didn't do it for me. I of course have been exposed to the wide array of impact that this story and film has had on pop culture, so I mostly knew what to expect. But I was very surprised at just how... bland the story is. Don't get me wrong, I love a good revolutionary tale against an oppressive government and I think they played that trope quite well for the most part. I was just very bored by what, to me, seemed a predictable and uninteresting story. There's definitely some good moments and quotes that I loved, and the acting and visuals were pretty solid. I think this is just one of those films that was "it" when it came out, and no longer "is". The Guy Fawkes mask already seems to be morphing into something of a joke in pop culture rather than a serious statement on government. I think the film will be soon to follow.
